Scrapaganza Day 3

Not such an early start today (just as well given that I didn't get to sleep till after 2am - sorry Diane!) but still early enough. Up at about 7:30 - reckon I had about 9-10 hours sleep the whole weekend! After breakfast the first class was with Emily Adams

my planner page for Emily's class
- another great and funny teacher - sat next to Elaine and with Jacqui and Karen behind us we had such a laugh in this class - I loved the project which was a mini album based on these coasters and using Blue cardigan papers and stickers - Emily had lots of innovative ideas for using these products so I was really pleased with this class - would definitely sign up for more classes with Emily in the future. I finished this in class too but haven't taken any photos yet.

my planner page for the Heidi Swapp class

Next was the Heidi Swapp class taught by Vivien Bonder - we made an album using the giant playing cards and got messy painting with our fingers. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in this class - Vivien was very laid back and once again there were some great ideas for how to use the products supplied. I even finished this in class as well - though once again I have still to add some photos.

Time for lunch and as I had a free slot a chance to pick up some make and takes kits to take home - you get 4 m&t kits in the diva package. I made a small paper bag album there and took away two clipboard kits (different sizes of clipboards) and a little mini folded album to do "sometime".

I also managed to get a ticket for the Bazzill class which included a 6 x 12 album in the kit - Dawn kindly picked this up for me as it clashed with my rusty Pickle class.

my planner page for Lance's class
Saving the best till last - yes I think so. I loved this class made using the Princess Bride papers and I will be doing my best to get this finished as soon as I can, although I have so much other scrapping stuff on at the moment.

Just time to say our goodbyes and wait, and wait and wait for the bus to the airport - still it arrived in the end and we all got there in plenty of time for our flights.

An absolutely fantastic weekend...although I don't think I would ever want to do any more classes than that - I was pretty much scrapped out by my last class and starting to make silly mistakes.

Roll on the next one - oh only 5 months to go! 16-18 November in Haarlem (which is right beside the airport so less hassle with transfers I would think) - See you there?

Scrapaganza Day 2

I was up at the crack of dawn - well 6:30am anyway to be in time for my first class at 8am!!! Yikes! What was I thinking! Dawn & I joined MichelleS for breakfast then headed off to Melodee Langworthy's 31derful Memories class
my planner page for Melodee's class

Whilst I enjoyed the class and Melodee is a lovely warm & friendly person and a great teacher I was disappointed we didn't get the use of the famed chipboard corner rounder to finish off the pages properly. Still it was good to have all the stamps available and I managed to get all the pages done in class so I only need to get around to adding photos now. I also managed to purchase a gorgeous pink file folder kit from a class that Melodee had taught the day before at ScrapSalad ( a dutch scrapbook shop) and I am pleased to say that Melodee has very kindly emailed me the instructions so I am all set to go with that project as well...well whenever I have a minute.

my planner page for the Love Elsie class
I didn't have any of the Love Elsie papers when I made my planner so I "designed" my own freestyle paper. I loved doing this - just some splodges of acrylic (very brightly coloured) paint and some doodles.

This class was taught by one of the Dutch teachers (Peggie Severins - later to become one of my poker buddies!!!) and it amazes me how good the Dutch teachers are at teaching a class in two languages. You really don't even notice. This was my only LO class of the weekend and I managed to finish it in class - I was very pleased with it as it is pretty much my style of scrapping -

Grabbed a quick lunch and a mooch round the scrap shops in the crop room - there was a really good choice of scrapping stash available - lots of stuff you don't often see in real life here. And I picked up my Quickutz bargains - the complete SnowAngel gift set including full alphabet and binder for €25 ! No that is not a typo that is how much it was, and the Sunshine gift set for €45 or it might even have been €40...I can't remember now - but I know it was cheap. There were lots of other good bargains to be had but I managed to resist the temptation of the Quickutz Tote or the AMM Medium tote for only €15 each...but only just.

my planner page for the Junkitz class

After lunch was the Junkitz class taught by Stacey Panassidi. This was a calendar made using the Junkitz Decor Boards. It was a bit on the bright side though so I have donated this to kirsten to finish off. I did like the idea but I think it would be easy to make the boards yourself - they were pretty much just thin MDF boards cut into about 8" x 12", corners rounded and some holes punched in them (the cropodile will do that for you :D )

my planner page for the Fancy Pants class
This next class, taught by Michelle Grant was a bit of a disaster though not the fault of anyone apart from maybe KLM cargo and/or Fedex.

Michelle explained that the original kits had been sent and although they had arrived at Schipol they could not be located in the Cargo area. Accordingly some replacement kits were sent out but when these did not arrive by the Friday morning it was discovered that they had not left Utah due to a Fedex mix up( or whatever carrier they were using). So basically there were 200 of the original class kits sitting in Amsterdam airport and 100 sitting at Salt Lake but none at Egmond so poor Michelle had less than 24 hours to grab supplies and make a kit for us.

This meant that the other supplies she did have eg paint didn't match the new papers and she had to "borrow" some from the album track class - so it was a bit difficult to work with not enough supplies to go around. Still I did like the ribbon, papers, rub-ons and flowers we got in the substitue kit and well done to Michelle for keeping her cool in very adverse circumstances.

This class finished at 3:30pm so as my next class wasn't scheduled until 8:30pm I took the opportunity to explore Egmond a bit - There were some pretty little shops and I got some bargains in one shop that was selling Velvet alphabets for €1 and some little boxes of bling flowers and hearts - also for €1.

Picked up some Stroopwaffels from the bakers to take back home, and had a stroll along the front and over to the lighthouse.

After dinner I had a chance to do a bit of shopping...but I was actually surprising restrained - some scalloped edged bazzill, a few heidi swapp stamps and a Creative Imaginations Bare Elements Peek-a-Book book!

my planner page for the Rusty Pickle class

I loved the Rusty Pickle class - Lance Anderson is always funny - even if he is still telling the same McDonald's pickle story he told in November!!! Loved the mini-book done with the Chocolate Bunnies papers and there are always such great ideas in the Rusty Pickle classes.

Met up with everyone down in the crop room - unfortunately the Scrapaganza forum table wasn't very big so I didn't have a chance to meet up with everyone i would have liked to but hey there is always next time. Predictably I didn't win anything in the raffle but did have fun at the poker table. They were playing Texas Hold'em Poker with the chance to cash in your chips for stash after half an hour - Now I have only ever played this game at home with Robert and the kids but this is now Robert's main hobby as he plays quite a bit on line - obviously all his tales of flushes (hot!!! LOL ) the flop, the river and trip aces have been retained in my brain somewhere and I ended up staying in the game until half past one in the morning. I only got beat at the very end by a ringer!!! LOL - Dyan Reavely's son Ben...who had played quite a bit of poker before! Still it was a good laugh and I did win a "few" buttons at the end of it all!!! will be practicing my poker skills for next time I think. LOL

Scrapaganza Day 1

Wow seems like it was ages ago now!!!
Had a brilliant time again and met so many new people - especially the rest of the "Aberdeen" girls (well that is where they all fly from so Aberdeen girls they shall be LOL ) ***waves*** to Jacqui, Karen, Elaine, Anne, Karen & Tracy, and to Irene & Susan, and it was great to catch up with Dawn and Frances and my lovely roomie Diane :)

No problem with the flights this time although this did mean I had over two hours to wait until the bus transfer. Spent the time chatting to the others who were waiting. Had lunch with MichelleS (***waves hello to Michelle) and a wander round the shops in a search for Kipling bags - we did find some but decided to see how much stash money we had left at the end of the weekend before parting with any money :)

The bus was late (Rolling eye smilie here) and as a result a few of us missed the first half of the Karen Burniston album track - I did feel for Karen who was engulfed with about 7 of us arriving half way through the class - I know some of the girls gave up and just picked up the kits but I was lucky enough to sit beside Vicky who helped me get caught up in no time...so much so that I almost finished the album (including photos in class)...but guess what 2 weeks later and it's still not finished. I will post some photos when its done.

These are the first couple of pages of the planner I made. I had originally planned to use one of Roz's gorgeous Flap books but I soon realised I was taking too many classes for this to be feasible so I ended up using a 7 Gypsies book instead.

After the class finished just after 6pm I was too late to meet up with everyone else as they had already gone to dinner so that they would be in time for their class at 7:30pm. My next class was not until 8:30pm. Luckily I met up with Tracy and she walked down to Egmond with me - the main shopping/bar/restaurant area and the beach was literally 2 minutes walk from the hotel. As Tracy's husband is Dutch she speaks a little bit of the language and managed to order me some Kroketten (which were lovely) and chips!!! Very classy LOL. Mind you I do love the "Chipsauce" the dutch have. - sort of a cross between mayonnaise and salad cream!
It was lovely to sit outside in the sun with Tracy whose company I really enjoyed :)

Then it was time to head back for my next class with Lisa Bearnson. Lisa talked for quite a lot of the class about the importance of scrapbooking and the class kit was a very generous 8x8 album kit (although the class did cost €25 instead of €15 but I thought that was pretty fair)
Lisa impressed me a lot with how open and friendly she was - she certainly made an effort to speak to all the Scottish ladies present as she had just been visiting Edinburgh earlier in the week and explained that she had lived in Scotland for a year and half many years ago - Her Scottish accent was pretty good too.

The class didn't finish until after 10pm and by that point we were in need of some light refreshment so some of us headed back down to Egmond to try out the local bars. At least Diane and I were sort of sensible and were back at the hotel by 1am...no comment on those who stayed out later LOL

Scottish bands or weren't the eighties fab!

Wow how weird - I was blog surfing.. as you do... and I checked out Cathy Zielske's blog...as you do..and she mentioned Aztec Camera of all bands in one of her posts - who knew Roddy Frame was big in the US!!! well not me obviously LOL

It set me to thinking about how may fab scottish bands there were in the 80s. I've just spent hours on youtube reminiscing :D

How about:

Love & Money (Dogs in the Traffic has to be one of the best albums ever)
Orange Juice (and Edwyn Collins)
Win (if anyone has a link to Super Popoid Grove I would be eternally grateful!!! LOL)
Blue Nile
Hipsway
Danny Wilson
Goodnight Mr MacKenzie (yes saw them acouple of several times before Shirley Manson & John Duncan hit the big time...Garbage & Nirvana respectively)
Hue & Cry
Deacon Blue
Runrig
Big Country
Simple Minds
Eurythmics
Wet Wet Wet (one of the few bands of any note to have played Largs...but before they had a record deal! - they were pretty ropey and the crowd consisted of me and about 20 mates taking the mick LOL )
Texas
Fruits of Passion (great Edinburgh girl band - again any links to any of their songs much appreciated!)

I also found this on a Firefly site

The Browncoats Prayer

OUR JOSS,
Who art in Hollywood, Whedon be thy name.
Thy ideas come, and will be done
On film as they are in Comic Books.

Give us someday a little more Serenity,
And deliver us from Reality Television.
For thine is the Wit, the Wisdom,
And the Imagination

Forever and ever,

AMEN.

Love it!!!

Monday, 14 May 2007

Well for a change I have been very busy scrapping wise over the last few days. I finished my entry in the wonderful Buffy CJ - Girl's Rock - This book is just gorgeous. I was really reluctant to part with it...maybe that was why I was so late posting it! Sorry again Jane :D

Then I had "hunners" of cards to make - this one was for my friends daughter. I used the Klutz templates I bought in Borders (see previous post) to hand cut the clothes.

Then a very quick card ie at the last moment, for my uncle's 65th Birthday

Then a card for my nephew using offcuts of the new Junkitz papers

As well as that I also finished a card and a LO for my Angel Crafts design team kit, plus a birthday card for Robert (it is his birthday on Wednesday), a name badge for Scrapaganza AND started my planner for the retreat as well...PHEW!

I also got a parcel with some goodies in it from Bargainpack

These little cuties make a nice little neat row of holes (one is single, one is double) for stitching on your layouts.

And this is a new version of the Dymo punch - it has both an upper and lower case alphabet and comes with some gorgeous colours of tape.

Non-scrapping news

We went to party at a local restaurant to celebrate my uncle's birthday at the weekend. It was great to see some faces, including my cousins that I hadn't seen for years...and I mean many years plus it was lovely that my mum felt well enough to come out to play too :D

Kenneth went to Aviemore for the weekend...yes yet another weekend away. His friend's parents had invited him to stay with them at their holiday flat for the weekend. They managed to go swimming and spend the day at Landmark, although the weather wasn't all that great.

I think I will try and get an early night tonight as I have a busy week for thr rest of the week:

Tomorrow - Talk by Christopher Brookmyre at Glasgow University. If you haven't read any of his books then can I strongly recommend them to you. They are hysterically funny, satirical, crime thrillers set in Scotland. I mane how can you resist a book called "One Fine Day in The Middle of the Night" or "A Big Boy Did It and Ran Away".

Then Wednesday is Robert's birthday so we will have a small family party then.

Thursday I am babysitting Archie (Officially the absolutely BEST behaved baby in the world...EVER!)

Friday - Yaaay off to see Meatloaf in concert

Saturday - out for a meal with Robert in the evening

Sunday - well it has to be a day of rest deosn't it.

So if I don't blog again soon you will know why!!

Monday 7th May

We pack up the caravan and start the journey home via Granton on Spey to visit a smokehouse
Believe me the website is better than the actual "tour" which basically involves looking through glass windows at people at work cutting slices of fish...yawn! The interactive bits weren't working so this was pretty much a waste of time...even the price of the smoked salmon in the factory shop was high!

Next stop though is Killiecrankie. We take a short stroll through the woods to see the Soldier's Leap and spend a while admiring the view.

Yes Kenneth is starting to look like a
girl with that hair and no he
does not want it cut!!!

Then we head just down the road to Pitlochry for lunch. I haven't been to Pitlochry for years (one of my friends from Uni was from Dunkeld so I had visited a few times then) but I couldn't remember much about the place at all. We have lunch at Victoria's which was really good and then have a mooch about the shops, dodging showers. We leave at about 3pm and get back into Largs just after 6pm (after stopping off at our local tesco for some basics to tide us over till the next day).

I have been nursing a cold for most of the weekend but once I am home I feel a lot worse and head to bed for an early night. end up staying in bed for the next 2 days as I feel so yuk.
never mind I am on the mend now although still coughing away

Sunday 6th May

Second time lucky for Brodie Castle. We get there for opening time at 10:30am and are soon enjoying an excellent guided tour of the castle that we all enjoy.

Photos courtesy of RLS.org.uk

I can't even remember where we end up for lunch but we do drive over the bridge to North Kessock to see if we can spot any dolphins or seals - Kirsten maintains she saw a seal so she is happy!
Then we end up back at the driving range at Fairways again - not my idea...honest! But I do take another shot or two :D
Next stop is Borders. I like Borders in Inverness as I always manage to find some interesting things like this
and this - now this one I have wanted for ages. I originally ordered it from Amazon, then was told it would be in stock in 28 days, the two months and then no sorry you can't have it after all!! So I was v v pleased to find this at last.

and this - which I thought looked like fun for making birthday cards etc

We have our tea at Pizza hut then back to the caravan where we have some fun playing with felt!!! LOL Look what we made. The one on the left is Kirsten's and the one on the right is Robert's - all his own work too - who new he had a creative side. Might have to start hiding my craft stuff from him. Kenneth made a really cool one too called Paches (pronounced Patches) but I cant find that to photograph at the moment. Kirsten's is called Knotts and Robert's is either Square Head or Cheese Head...we haven't decided yet. No we are not mad... well not much anyway LOL

Saturday 5th May

On Saturday we have breakfast in the caravan then drive along to Elgin. I look for MrsMacs shop but in vain. Hadn't realised it was outwith the town centre. There are a lot of good shops in Elgin though. Plenty of craft, fabric, wool shops and K&K are delighted to find a large toy shop.

We buy some butteries and cakes in Walkers bakery then drive up to Lossiemouth for a picnic.
The view is wonderful but for some unfathomable reason I fail to take any pictures!!! So here is roughly the view we had courtesy of www.potteryhouse.co.uk.

After our picnic we stroll across the above bridge (how could you not) and then we head back towards Brodie Castle along the coastal route.

What we had failed to realise was that Brodie Castle is not open to the public on Saturdays! When we get there we can see there is a wedding taking place. K&K have a bit of a play in the play area and then we decide to head to Brodie Countryfare - unfortunately this is not to be either as the road between the castle and Brodie is closed so we give up and head back to the caravan...after all Dr Who is on tonight.

Friday 4th May

The Travelodge is situated right beside Fairways Leisure so we have a really good buffet breakfast in the clubroom (£6-95 for adults, children free). Entertainment is provided by some numpty who decides to put his croissant in the toaster (one of those large catering ones where you pop the toast on to a rolling grid at the top then the toast appears at the bottom) and predictably it gets stuck and sets fire to the machine. Said numpty is then about to try to unstick the croissant with a knife (now what did we learn in school about metal and electricity!!!). Fortunately the manager stops him, puts out the small fire and normal service is resumed!!!

After breakfast Kenneth begs us for a shot on the driving range so Robert and him sort that out. Then Robert convinces me to have a shot. Now I have never played golf. I vaguely remember my grandpa teaching me how to hold a club when I was about 7 but apart from that nothing...which is strange when you think about it as both my gran & grandpa golfed and my dad is an excellent golfer...when he was younger his handicap was right down at 1 or 2 at one point. Anyway after a few "air shots" I get the hang of it, a couple of pieces of advice from Robert about my stance and hey what do you know I can hit this thing 100 yds...hmm maybe I will go for some lessons one day.

After our golfing we check out our hotel and go to visit Culloden. We discover the Murrays were in the front line (as were the Frasers, of which I am one on my mother's side). K&K then spend the rest of the holiday playing at Jacobites & RedCoats.

After Culloden we head back in to Inverness where I manage to visit a couple of craft shops in the Victorian Market and then it is time for the drive along the coast to Nairn to check-in to our caravan. We are lucky to be allocated a 3 bedroom van very near to the beach.

For tea we decide on fish suppers (well I have White Pudding) from the on-site chippie. Now I said to Robert that I was sure the last time we were here we had had fish from there and it still had the skin on (why would anyone make fish like that!!!). No, no said Robert, that's just an English thing, it won't be like that up here!. Hmmm proven right yet again LOL. Anyway neither Robert nor Kenneth particularly enjoyed their tea.

It was a nice evening so we went for a walk along the beach. K&K even went in the sea for a paddle - yes very keen!!!

Then back to the caravan for 9pm so that Kenneth could catch up on the Dr Who episode he had missed last week...yes the caravan even had a freeview box (so we had BBC3) as well as a DVD player.

Thursday 3rd May

This is a mini-trip report about our trip to Nairn - really just done for myself for future reference...so scrappy people feel free to skip as there ain't much scrapping goin' on in the next few posts.

Thursday dawned bright and clear...a good omen for our weekend away. Robert decides to get a haircut before we go so nips down the town first thing. We then pop into the primary school to vote. How complicated was that! Crosses on one ballot paper (with two different votes on the one paper) and numbers on the other. No wonder there would turn out to be so many spoilt papers. Fairly crucial in our constituency of Cunningham North where the overall majority was only 48 votes but there were over 1000 spoilt papers. Including apparently at least 100 ballots from Arran which "got wet" and therefore couldn't be counted electronically so weren't included at all. What a disgrace!

Anyway I digress LOL

After voting we pop in to see Mum & Dad briefly and then we are on our way. We make it all the way to Aviemore without stopping. Yaay a new record. Kirsten normally needs the toilet a long time before we get that far. One time on the journey "Up North" we stopped at Tesco in Perth for Kirsten to use the facilities, then Tesco in Aviemore and then finally Tesco in Inverness. That was the trip that became know as the "Tour of Tesco Toilets"!!!

So we are pleased to make it to Aviemore without any stops. We have lunch at Roo's Leap restaurant in Aviemore that Dawn recommended. It was great (once we managed to find our way in as they are digging up the pavement all around it at the moment). It is an Australian restaurant but basically serves TexMex food. Robert had the fajitas, I had an enchilada, and K&K had a melted cheese tortilla sandwich that they both really enjoyed (basically a cheese toastie but made with tortillas instead of bread).

After our yummy lunch we wandered around Aviemore, popping in to Waterstones (I liked this better when it was still Ottakers) and then we we were on our way. We arrived at our Travelodge at Inverness at about 4pm. Checked-in, had a quick breather then it was off to explore Inverness. We saw the castle then popped in for a quick wander round the shops as it was late opening (well until 7 o'clock anyway). K&K decided they were hungry again (I was still stuffed from lunch) so we popped in to McDonalds to get them a Happy Meal each. Robert had one too!!!

Then back to the Hotel where K&K had baths using their bathbombs they had just bought from Lush. Kenneth had an Avobath and Kirsten had Think Pink (now there's a surprise LOL ).

Bags - like I needed more!!!

OK here is the bag I finished last week - sorry for the rubbish photo. The wool was debbie Bliss Soho and I used a pattern I found on line at Black Sheep bags
but I struggled with the I-cord instructions until I found this fab little animation here
D'oh - how easy was that.

The bag shrank to less than half its original size - mind you I did wash it at 90 degrees - and it came out the machine looking like a fuzzy lump but once I dried it out (over a cereal box covered with clingfilm) it was fine.

Watch out these little suckers are addictive though...I have started knitting another one. This time I am using Wendy Fusion (mainly cos it was only £1 a ball from Watt Bros in Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street LOL ) - it is only 50% wool though and 50% acrylic so I am not sure if it will felt properly or not...watch this space :)

I think I will make some knitted flowers to go on them as well at some point

I was full of good intentions to get my packing done early but looks like that is not happening and I will be running about like a headless chicken. We are heading up to Nairn for a long weekend. Kenneth & Kirsten's school is closed on Thursday for the election so we are taking them out of school on the Friday as well...tut tut!!! Have had some great suggestions for days out from Dawn, Erika, Tracy, Pam and lots of the other "Northern" girls on UKS - thank you :)

I think we will definitely try Landmark and the Wildlife Park on the Black isle and Roos Leap looks like being a good option for something to eat in Aviemore when we are en route.

Roz - Taylor Shoes have the wedge crocs - they are called Sassari - $14 P&P

knitting and stitching

Well I have finished knitting my bag and it shrank brilliantly in the washing machine - washed it at 90 degrees and it is now less than half the size that it was when I finished knitting it. It looks good but I haven't had a chance to get a decent picture...why am I so busy???

Well i was only asked to do something for Scrapbook Inspirations - yayy me. Mind you the deadline is next Tuesday and as we are away from Thursday to Monday AND I am working from tomorrow until Wednesday that left me, well, today really to get it done!!! LOL It did mean I didn't have a chance to take part in the UKS cyber crop this time. I only managed a measly 10 points for registering - sowwy spades!!!

Here is teeny sneak peek of the LO... I hand stitched the title and I was really pleased with the way it turned out

In other news today... Kenneth won a yugioh tournament at the local toy shop this afternoon. His prize was an apparently rare starter deck - a pack of the first cards ever made - meant to be worth somewhere between £20 - £30 so he was pretty happy. The toy shop is called the Bus Stop Toy Shop and if you are ever in Largs then I highly recommend a visit (or you can shop online at that link) ...if you are looking for toys of course. Duncan the owner is really friendly and is extremely knowledgable about the toys he sells. He also organises lots of competitions for the kids and arranges for Dr Who card swaps etc Anyway I think Kenneth will be selling his prize on ebay soon as he is on a mission to raise some cash

And on that subject we were car booting yesterday morning - pretty successful for just a small local event as we managed to clear a profit of £60 - mostly the kids stuff so they are happy to have some spends for our weekend away and we are happy that they will not be whining at us for more money (yeah right!!! LOL ).

Monday, 23 April 2007

OK stop laughing Roz... you do know you can get crocs with heels now don't you...lookie here :D
I have to say I love my Niles but it is still flipping raining and I havent had a chance to wear them out yet!!!

I've updated the last blog post too as the pictures weren't showing for some reason...hope they are there now.

Jane...thank you for your comment :) Sadly I am not teaching a cyber crop class this time...too busy knitting my bag at the moment LOL

Sunday Sunday

Just having a quiet day today as I had a busy day yesterday. I was really pleased to hear that I had had a layout accepted for Scrapbook Inspirations so Kirsten and I popped down to the Post Office to post that yesterday morning. I also posted my little mini-book for a swap taking place on UK Scrappers in the run up to the cyber crop next weekend.

Then in the afternoon I was off to Edinburgh to see Footloose at the Edinburgh Playhouse. My friend's friend had originally bought these tickets for a birthday present but was unable to go as she is abroad on business at the moment so I was lucky enough to be "First Reserve" LOL. We had a lovely day out, a little bit of shopping in Edinburgh (I bought some wool from John Lewis to make a felted bag) and Tapas for tea before going to the show. The show was surprisingly good and I thought the male lead was excellent.

Here are some photos of the gorgeous little book I received. isn't it so pretty? It is full of quotes from Alice in Wonderland (the cyber crop theme is the Mad hatter's Tea Party)

And here is the book I made. I hope my swapee likes it. I didn't stick to the Alice theme (as it wasn't mandatory) plus my book is made a litte bit differently. I realised when I made it that you end up with 12 pages if you leave the book so that it can be opened from both sides. As 12 seemed like a fortuitous number I made a little date/birthday book instead. Fingers crossed it is OK

I also got my parcel from A Million Little Things. The lovely Jill there combined two orders for me so that I got a postage refund. I was a bit worried it might get stuck in customs but luckily it didn't and arrived in time for me to have play this weekend.

I love these Junkitz papers. It is so good to have some really boyish papers to work with. I can see me ordering more of these :). I also used my new Autumn Leaves stamps that I got from Angel crafts recently
Oh and the last classes finally went up on the Scrapaganza website. I managed to get the AMM doodling one I wanted. Look here. Doesn't that just look like so much fun. I am starting to get excited now...it is only 5 weeks to go I think. My final schedule now looks something like this.
